She let herself in to wait for somebody else. He came home to watch the game. By the ninth inning she is calling the play-by-play.

Michele still has a key to an apartment she used to live in, and she has let herself in to wait for a friend who is running late. Will comes home wanting to watch game five of the NLCS and finds a stranger on his sofa. Neither of them leaves.
By the end of the night he has talked her into playing Vin Scully while he limps around the living room as Kirk Gibson — re-staging the 1988 World Series at-bat that was never supposed to happen. The injured man who could barely walk to the plate, who hit it out anyway.
Two years later they are in the same room. Two years after that, they are there again.
WILL — A cameraman and aspiring filmmaker. A late bloomer who hasn't bloomed yet. Thirties, any ethnicity.
MICHELE — A philosophy teacher at a local junior college. Bright, confident, fierce. Thirties, any ethnicity.
